The Q&A Archives: my bariliad has lost its color what can i use?

Question: My Bariliad has lost its color what should i use?

Answer: Pat,

I think you are referring to a bromeliad. If you put it in too much or too little light the color can be lost. It may also be that the parts you are seeing are older and have already bloomed and now are on their way out. There should be young side plants coming up (called "pups") that will replace the older ones. When the pups come in you can remove the older plant parts if you like.
