I have a beautiful Bird of Paradise plant that has grown pretty large and is taking over my flowerbed. I would like to know how I could thin it out without damaging it. Thank you.

Darla,

Dig down with a sharp shovel and separate out the plant sections you want to remove. This just takes a little time but is very doable. Some people find that they can use a butcher knife to cut down and separate plant sections to remove them from the clump.

Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon!
