I had some landscaping done to my backyard recently and the landscaper installed the sprinklers using the preexisting timer that is hooked up to the front yard. is it possible to switch the timer system. there are 3 timer settings for 3 different areas. I want to separate the front from the backyard. is it possible to do on my own or will i need to hire a professional?

thanks for any advice you can give me.

I'm not sure if I understand your situation, but it sounds as though a simple solution would be a dual station timer. It might be easier for you to have a face to face conversation with a helpful staff member at your local Home Depot. You can find something on the shelves that's similar to what you already have and ask the associate how you would place the front yard and the back yard onto separate timers. I think it would be a do it yourself project once the necessary steps are explained to you. Good luck with your project.
