The hot sun has been burning the bell peppers that have sprouted on my plants. Is there any method that you recommend for shading them?

I have erected temporary shelters for my tomato and pepper plants by driving 4 stakes into the ground, 2 in front and 2 behind the plants and then draping shade cloth or reemay (floating row cover) fabric over the stakes. You can staple it to the stakes to hold it in place. Garden quality shade cloth or reemay will allow enough sunlight in to keep the plants healthy but block enough to keep the fruits from sunscald. Best wishes with your peppers!
