My gaura (Gaura lindheimeri) is very leggy and is still blooming although the stalks are so tall they lay on the ground. When should it be cut back? Should it be cut back to the leaves at the base of each flower stalk or somewhere higher on the stalk?

Yvonne,

You can cut the blooms stalks back to near their base whenever you wish. Gaura is a wonderful plant and one of my favorites!
