What is best way to get lawn to drain water better? There are area drains through-out sides of yard but some water doesn't get to them and just sits. Builder laid some additional sod on these areas but it didn't take care of issue. |
Staci, One option would be to remove the sod, bring in some topsoil to fill in low areas and then relay the sod. Another option is to have a landscaper install subsurface drainage, commonly called a "French drain". This works like the reverse of a septic line allowing water to move into the subsurface perforated pipe and then run off to a lower area where it exits the pipe. A qualified landscaper can discuss the suitability of such a system for your property. Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon! |
