| Organic mulch is my favorite because when it decomposes it adds nutrients to the soil. However, whenever you have decomposing organic matter, you'll attract insects. So, if you want to avoid insects, use a non-organic mulch material such as rocks, decomposed granite or gravel. Best wishes with your garden. |
