I just planted three small rounded evergreen shrubs in the front of my house and I have followed the directions for planting and watering but they are turning yellow and I'm not sure that they are |
It can take several weeks for newly planted shrubs to become established in their new locations. The yellowing foliage can indicate transplant stress. You didn't identify the shrubs or tell us how far away from the foundation you planted them. If they are in full sunshine, the foundation may be radiating excessive heat, which could also affect their health. At this point, I can only suggest you water your new shrubs once each week (water deeply to promote deep rooting), and check the shrubs in the mid-afternoon to make sure they are not baking due to reflected heat. If the area is extremely hot, you may want to move the plants to a friendlier location. Best wishes with your new shrubs. |
