I have cleared the weeds from my back yard and had the ground graded. I will be putting a new fence in and want a shade tree. What do you suggest? The back of the house faces west and there is room for a large tree. I do not want a redwood or a Mulbery.

Have you considered planting a Catalpa tree? These are wonderful shade trees with large leaves and seasonal clusters of fragrant white flowers.
