Can you suggest a good plant to use for blocking a window? The window is on the east side of my house and about 3-4 feet from the ground. I would like to plant a tree, bush or shrub that will not take up excess room, but will give us a little privacy. I want something that will stay green in the winter. I live in zone 6A in a highly wooded area. I have heard mountain laurel, huckleberry, and azalea might work but these seem way too big or not high enough. Thanks ahead.

You might like one of the smaller maturing cultivars of Pieris japonica. This is a spring flowering broad leafed evergreen with good winter hardiness.
