I have a yard that has both St. Augustine and bermuda grasses. There are very distinct areas for each but in some places, there is some cross-over. I am needing to put some weed-n-feed down but know that some cannot be put on Bermuda and vice versa. What do you recommend? We had the St. Augustine put in in the spring, and the last time the yard was fertilized was in June. I don't want to ruin the grass. Thanks, jennifer |
Jennifer, I would avoid using the weed and feed since the time to weed and the time to feed are not the same, and many of these product can weaken St. Augustine. In short you can fertilize that lawn with a product containing a 3-1-2 or similar ratio of nutrients in mid to late spring and again in early fall. Divide the first number on the bag into 100 for the pounds of fertilizer to apply per 1000 square feet of lawn area. For more info check out the following web site: http://tcebookstore.org/tmppdf... Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon! |
