| Creeping Charlie can be difficult to control, especially if it becomes established in a lawn area where the lawn grass struggles due to shade or other difficult conditions. Sometimes if caught early it can be raked off and the underlying lawn grass can be encouraged to outgrow it. It can be killed with an herbicide containing glyphosate (read and follow all of the label directions) keeping in mind this is a nonselective herbicide that will kill desired plants as well as the weed. Once the weed is dead you will need to reseed. If the area is shady or otherwise not well suited to lawn grass you may want to replant with a groundcover other than grass. Good luck! |
