I planted Morning Glory and Moon Flowers from seed. They are growing slowly with our dry spell in NY. The morning glory have given me pink, purple, and lavander bloom after bloom but the Moon Flower has not flowered once. Are the Moon Flower Biannual? Any suggestion on getting them to bloom before the end of season? If I am correct, they are annual here in New York.. |
Morning glories and moon flowers are grown as annuals in your area. (They will not survive the winter cold.) Moonflowers do start blooming very late in the season -- it can take about three months. They require full direct sun all day, prefer hot weather and need a long growing season, but gardeners love the flowers so much they are willing to wait. |
