The Q&A Archives: low flowers for a grave site

Question: I need to know what flowers to plant at a grave site.

Answer: There are many different plants you could use. In a well drained, sunny spot you might use a Sedum such as "Ruby Glow" or perhaps a long blooming, short dianthus such as "Bath's Pink." These are both very low maintenance perennials that give excellent bloom performance and look good all season long.

If you are looking for something to plant this fall, you could try a cool season annual such as pansies or violas. These might overwinter and bloom again in the spring for you, but you will need to replant with a summer annual such as petite marigolds. I hope this helps.
