The Q&A Archives: Crapemyrtle

Question: I have two crapemyrtles and they have not bloom this year. What can I do? Is the 1268 good for them? Thank you.

Answer: Magda,

Crapes will do that sometimes. It is usually due to a lack of adequate sunlight exposure or possibly a lack of vigor. If something set them back such as a late frost or maybe too much summer trimming this could delay blooming. I suggest you make sure they are adequately watered and fertilize with a couple of cups of turf fertilizer sprinkled around each plant and then watered in well.

Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon!
