The Q&A Archives: Fall Flower Garden

Question: I want to start a fall flower garden in containers. What are some plants that are good for North Texas? I would like them to be in flower for as long as possible. Thanks!

Answer: Rachel,

For now through the first frost you can grow petunias, marigolds and zinnias. In late September on through November plant dusty miller, stock, snapdragons, calendula, and alyssum. After about mid October you can plant pansies, viola, and Johnny jump ups.
