My niece lives in Houston and needs to know what kind of short plants that are colorful and have flowers on them for the front of her flower bed. She has larger plants behind that area so they need to stay short. Thank you.

Gracie,

In sunny areas some choices include fibrous rooted begonias, Dahlberg daisy, and petunias. In shade try wishbone flower (Torenia). In early November for winter flowers pansies and viola are good choices.
