The Q&A Archives: perenials & florida grown roses

Question: what kinds of flowering perenials can I plant now, also do you sell florida grown roses?

Answer: Marcia,

Check with your local Home Depot garden center manager about the source of the roses they are ordering. We at the Q&A service do not have information as to shipping of various plants to Home Depot nurseries across the country.

Some great perennials for planting now include lantana, various types of salvia such as Salvia leucantha and Salvia Mystic Spires, fall aster and Mexican mint marigold. For more perennial flowers see the following web site:

Your County Extension Office will also probably have a free list of perennial flowers for your area.
