Indoors, this palm ((Ravenea rivularis) needs bright but indirect light. Unlike many palms, it needs evenly moist yet well drained soil, meaning always damp but not sopping wet/saturated. During winter, it needs extra humidity to stay healthy indoors. Provide a minimum temperature of about 65 degrees. Fertilize regularly with a water soluble fertilizer such as 10-10-10 plus micronutrients per the label directions.
