| Zucchini plants begin by producing only male flowers. After a week or so, it will then start producing female flowers as well. This sequence assures pollen is available for the female flowers. You can identify the female flowers by the slight bulge at the base of the petals -- that will become the zucchini. Each zucchini grows very quickly so keep a close eye on the plant! |
