I have a client that requested information on the product "Preen." I would like to know what is the active ingredient and if it can be used as a preplant with wildflowers.

The active ingredient in Preen is Trifluralin, which inhibits the growth of roots and shoots. It's registered for use around 30 different plants - check the label to see if the wildflowers are each listed before using the product.
