apple tree - Knowledgebase Question

My apple tree has died. I planted it 4 yrs ago and it was doing good, now this. I don't see any disease on it.

Carmen,

I can't tell what was wrong with your apple tree based on the description that you provided. Since the tree was doing good and apparently died suddenly it may be due to a root problem such as a root rot or poor drainage. Check with your local extension office about choosing an appropriate variety and rootstock for apples in your area this way if you read plant you can make sure and select the best varieties with the best chance to survive and thrive.
