Answer: Passiflora blooms on new growth of the season, so pruning it is not a problem as far as blooming performance. I hope you are growing a species that is winter hardy in your area -- many of the passifloras are not very cold tolerant. Since the old vine may offer some winter protection/insulation for the roots, I would suggest leaving at least some of the old vine intact until spring.
