is this a good time to plants holly bushes. i have a male and female. how far apart do I plant |
You can plant your new holly bushes now. Be sure to water them deeply once each week through the rest of the summer and on into the fall months to help the roots become well established. As long as the male and female holly are within 25 or 30' of each other, the female should produce berries for you. The plants don't need to be side by side, just within direct line of sight so pollinating insects can find them both. Best wishes with your new hollies! |
