Chamaecyparis and Arborvitae (Thuja) can both be done in late summer using semi-hardwood, or later in winter using hardwood. You may find the following helpful. You may need to cut and paste the complete url into your browser to make it work correctly.

http://www.hort.purdue.edu/ext...
http://extension.missouri.edu/...
http://www.ces.ncsu.edu/depts/...
http://www.hcs.ohio-state.edu/...

Good luck with your project!
