Poison ivy can be killed with an herbicide containing glyphosate. Read and carefully follow all of the label directions. This is a non selective herbicide so it will kill all plants, not just the poison ivy. You can spray it (shield desirable plants to avoid contact with the spray), or you can use a wipe-on application method. Another approach is to cut the vines and paint the herbicide onto the cut end. Poison ivy has strong root reserves so you may need to do some follow up applications as well. Please check with your local store for pricing and availability.
