i planted a mango seed and had it in a pot for 4 yrs,it grew to about 4ft and now i am ready to plant it in my back garden,what fertilizer should i use and how often,i also noticed that as new leaves grow from the top of the tree the lower one's fall of,is this supossed to happen..

Micheal,

You can use a regular lawn fertilizer on your mango. Just don't put too much on at one time or you could burn the roots. The fact that leaves are falling off usually indicates the plant is going through a period of time where the soil is either too dry or too wet.
