The Q&A Archives: lawns

Question: i have brown spots in my front yard we watch the watering do i need to sow more seeds

Answer: Brown spots can be a symptom of dog urine, or may simply be because cool season grasses are going dormant in hot weather. If the spots are from dogs, you'll want to rake out the dead areas and reseed. If you think it's because the grasses are dormant, you can simply wait until the weather cools for it to green up.

Best wishes with your lawn.
