I planted 7 evergreen arbor vitae trees last spring; one is dead and three have turned brown. They all came from the same HD on the same day. Some were in stock and some were being unloaded into the nursery from a truck.
What do I have to do to replace those that are dying--bring in the dead trees or bring in a picture and receipt.
Can I get replacement trees in the fall, a much better time to plant than in the spring.

Each store has a different policy so I'd recommend calling the store where you purchased the plants. You'll need your receipt and may need to bring in the dead plants; give the store a call to make sure....
