We have whitefly in our boxwood and another shrub - we have been spraying sporadically but it is still there and spread - is there anything else we can do? Thank you. |
Whitefly is not a common pest on boxwoods, although in some warmer climate areas of the country the giant whitefly may attack Buxus japonica. I would suggest you consult with your local Cornell cooperative extension to obtain a more specific identification of the pest (I wonder if it might be psyllids) and based on knowing that, determine how to treat for them. If a chemical control is needed, they will have the most up to date information on what is available for use in your state and also and equally important, how and when to apply it for maximum results. I'm sorry I can't be more specific for you long distance. |
