yellowing squash - Knowledgebase Question

I have area's on my butter cup squash that are turning yellow. Is this to much sun or something else, the area's hard so they are not roitting.

It sounds like sunscald. It shouldn't affect the quality of the squash, but keep an eye on it until you harvest. If it begins to brown around the edges, harvest the squash and cut out the bad area before eating.
