The Q&A Archives: Transplant Perennials

Question: I want to share some of my perennials with my neighbors. I live in Zone 5B. Can coreopsis, gallardia, etc. be transplanted in September?
Can Virburnum be moved to another spot in September?

Answer: Yes, if you transplant early in the month to allow about 6 weeks before your first frost date, allowing roots time to establish before the cold. Good luck!
