The Q&A Archives: Hostas

Question: Good Morning,
Should I cut off the flower stems after they've bloomed on my hostas?

Thank you!

Answer: Cutting off the spent flower stems is a great idea. It won't hurt your hostas and will make them look more attractive for the rest of the season. I cut mine down as far as possible; at least to the level of the foliage.

Best wishes with your garden.
