You can prune your brugmansia after it blooms and then trim it down by one-third of its total size in the fall. Brugmansia flowers on new stems so pruning it back will encourage lots of new flowering stems. Spring is the best time to feed your plant; use an all purpose 10-10-10 fertilizer.
