The best times to plant trees and shrubs are either spring or fall, when temperatures are cool and rainfall abundant. You can plant virtually anything available in the nurseries at this time. Why not cruise through the garden center to see what appeals to you - evergreen or deciduous, needled or broadleaf, spring, summer or autumn flowering - the list is large.

Best wishes with your new landscape.
