The Q&A Archives: coneflowers

Question: do yellow, orange and other newer color coneflower also have medicinal properties? what part of the plant is used and how is it used?

Answer: The purple coneflower (Echinacea pupurea) is said to have medicinal qualities; the yellow and orange coneflowers (Echinacea Orange Meadowbrite 'Art's Pride' and Echinacea paradoxa) are hybrids developed for their ornamental value and do not appear to have the same medicinal uses.
