The Q&A Archives: Pond Plants

Question: I have a small 25 gallon pond. I have two goldfish that i will be bringing inside for the winter. Do I need to bring my pond plants indoors? I have water lettuce and two potted plants. thanks for the help.

Answer: Pond plants are not generally hardy outdoors in Connecticut so you should plan on taking them in, along with the goldfish. They should be happy in an aquarium during the winter months.

Best wishes with your garden!
