We planted a shaving brush tree about nine months ago and some of the leaves look yellow. what should we be fertilizing with and are there any common problems that we should look out for. We looked for one of these trees in severl places but your people in Port charlotte, found one for us-great service. Thank you Theresa Didick |
Theresa, That tree will show yellow leaves if it goes through periods of soggy wet or extremely dry soil conditions. It could be that the newly planted tree is still not well rooted enough to endure the conditions it will eventually tolerate and so it is a little more sensitive to wet or dry soils. One other possibility is that the plant is lacking nitrogen. Try fertilizing it with a product I and nitrogen such as Miracle Grow o Peter's plant food. This should help bring it up. Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon! |
