I am looking for a good-tasting variety of tomatoes for canning. I don't like a lot of seeds in the tomatoes, and would prefer a meaty variety to add to stews and soups during the winter. Can you suggest a tomato?

You're looking for a plum or paste tomato. Burpee's "Viva Italia Hybrid" would fit your requirements. Tomato seeds are easy to start. Just plant them out in your garden about two weeks after your last frost (plant by May 1st) and the plants will grow and produce fruit about mid-August. You can order toll-free (800) 888-1447 or online at: http://www.burpee.com
