what all kind of advice can you give me about what i should do to prepare for the fall concerning ...lawn, shrubs, trees, ect. |
Jay, Your question is fairly general and therefore difficult answers with specific advice. Your lawn can be fertilized for the final time in early October using a product with a 3-1-2 ratio of nutrients. Shrubs and trees don't need any particular care at this time of the year. It is usually a good idea to make sure the soil is mulched around them to protect the roots and deter winter weeds. Avoid pruning shrubs are trees now because this can just encourage a flush of new growth which will be more susceptible to cold damage when the first freeze arrives.
