I am trying to decide which holly bushes to plant. I heard you have to have two of them to get berries. Is this true?

What you have heard is true; there are separate male and female holly shrubs. Both produce flowers, but only the female will produce berries. In your region, you'll have success with any of the Meserve Holly bushes, suchs as China Girl, Blue Girl, Blue Princess, etc. These are females and will produce berries if you also plant one male (Blue Prince, China Boy or Blue Stallion) in your landscape.

Best wishes with your new hollies!
