I want to install a low pressure 1/2in sprinkler system in my rose and plant beds. I have the 1/2in material from another project, but how do I go about laying it out in the beds and the hookup to my gardenhose?

There are several ways you can go about the project. You'll want to lay the line along side the plants (or down the center of the bed if it's a wide bed). You'll need to punch holes in the line to accommodate drip lines onto which you'll place drip heads so the line will reach the plant. Do this as many times as you have plants to water. Depending upon soil type and size of the plants, you can attach half-gallon, one-gallon, two-gallon or other sized drip heads. You can bury the lines and just leave the heads uncovered. You'll need an adapter so you can attach your garden hose when it's time to water (pop-off types are easiest). For more detailed information, visit your local home depot and ask one of the staff to help you choose the parts you'll need based upon the size of your plants. Best wishes with your project!
