Question: I am new to the Lake Texoma area and need to know when the last frost is likely in my area. I have tried a search for master gardeners in my area and haven't been able to find them yet. Thank you for any info you can give me.

Here is the home page for Oklahoma Master Gardeners. It includes information about the different groups in the state. If there isn't one locally yet, maybe you could get one started.

Master Gardener programs are usually run through the extension service. Here is a list of the Oklahoma extension offices. Your local office may be able to help you with locally-oriented gardening information and services such as soil testing and recommending plants that do especially well in your location.

In the meantime, here is a list of publications related to home gardening that are available free to download from their web site.
