WHEN CULTIVATING YUCCA PLANTS, DO YOU SEPERATE THE SEED FROM THE POD WHEN PLANTING? OR, DO YOU PLANT THE POD FOR BEST RESULTS?

Yes, empty the seeds from the pods. Soak the seeds overnight to help soften them, then plant them in the ground or in pots of moistened potting soil. (The rule of thumb is to plant seeds twice as deep as they are wide.) Best wishes with your seed starting project!
