I planted my bulb last week and the very next day my sons puppy took it out of the pot and played ball with it. A lot of the roots were missing and there were some teeth marks but no puntures that I saw. I quickly replanted it and added a little water and moved the pot up where NO dog will get to it, do you think it will live and bloom? This is my first amaryllis bulb and I am so excited about it.
Thank you

Marylee,

I think your amaryllis will probably be fine. It generally will have plenty of stored energy to put out more roots and soon after that a shoot will start to emerge. Just keep the rambunctious puppy away...
