The Q&A Archives: Christmas Cactus Blooms

Question: My christams cactus has set many new buds staying outside. I am afraid the cold weather with hurt the plant, but I am afaid to bring the plant inside that the buds might fall off due to the heat in my house. What should I do?

Answer: You will have to bring it indoors as it can't stay outside during cold weather. A cool room with night temperatures of about 50 to 55 and daytime temperatures of 60 to 65 would be ideal. Keep it away from hot drafts such as from a heater or heat vent. Good luck with your Christmas cactus!
