I'm going to put my home on the market for sale and I need to enhance the curb appeal. Are there any trees or shrubs that I could plant this time of year to help me add curb appeal? I live in the Baton Rouge, LA area.

Thank you, Josh Garon

Josh,
Sorry for the delayed reply. This is the best time of the year to plant trees and shrubs. Your local Extension Office can suggest some good ones for your area. I am not sure how much new trees and shrubs will add to the value of your property if you are selling right away. If there are none in the landscape now, then some such planting is probably in order. Otherwise I would suggest you add color plants such as Pansies, Viola, and Dusty Miller as this give fast results and will help the home to sell.
