The Q&A Archives: Pansies

Question: When I plant pansies, should I spread the roots out or leave tight as in the pot?

Answer: Eileen,
The roots should be to tight end for planting cells. If they are you can soak them in water and loose on them a little but generally such loosening is not necessary. Just keep them adequately water so the soil stays moist but not too soggy wet and they should be fine.
