Pennisetum setaceum ?Rubrum?, or Purple Fountain Grass, is a tender ornamental that should be treated as an annual in your gardening region. I plant these in my Seattle area garden and have never had them return in the spring, even from seed. Plan on replacing these beauties each spring. Best wishes with your garden!
