| The major difference between bermuda and St. Augustine is the texture: bermuda is soft on bare feet; St. Augustine is not. If texture matters to you, bermuda is best. And, it's available in either seed or sod; St. Augustine is only available in sprigs or sod. Springtime is best for seed planting. Wait until early March to overseed your lawn.
